This talk with the audience will focus on the rapid changes in today’s information environment, the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the media, the spread of disinformation, and the role of media literacy in everyday life.

We will discuss how algorithms and neural networks are changing the way news is created and consumed, the dangers posed by fake news, deepfakes, and information manipulation, and how to recognize propaganda and verify information sources. Special attention will also be given to the impact of information warfare on European society, security, and democratic processes.

Andrei Titov is a journalist and television and radio host working for ETV+ and Raadio 4. He has more than 25 years of professional experience. In the past, he served as editor-in-chief of the weekly MK-Estonia and the news portal mke.ee, and also taught at Tallinn University. He is the recipient of several journalism awards and has been honoured as an Honorary Citizen of Tallinn for his contribution to public information.
