On April 10, the Narva Central Library hosted Tatjana Gassova, Head of the news at portal RUS.ERR and Radio 4. In an engaging and accessible manner, she spoke to the audience about how news is created, the challenges faced in modern media work and the importance of maintaining credibility in a rapidly changing information environment. She also shared practical examples from her own experience and encouraged listeners to think critically and carefully evaluate sources.
Tatjana also paid special attention to the growing spread of scams and the increasingly sophisticated schemes used by fraudsters, which are becoming more convincing and harder to detect over time. She emphasized that critical thinking, verifying information and awareness of common scam tactics help people better protect themselves and avoid falling victim to misleading or malicious information.
