How can you read the media wisely? Develop your media literacy and your Estonian at the same time.
Join us at the National Library of Estonia, where we read and discuss the news together while practising Estonian in real conversation.
Do you always understand what a news story is really saying? How can you tell fact from opinion, and reliable information from misleading content? Why do reports on the same event sometimes differ so much?
At the club, you can:
- practise speaking Estonian
- learn new, useful media vocabulary
- discuss news stories and articles
- learn to tell facts from opinions and recognise persuasive language
- explore the National Library building
Come along if you’d like to use Estonian more in real life and better understand what the media is telling us each day.
Everyone is welcome – your Estonian doesn’t have to be perfect. What matters is a willingness to use it and keep learning.
Required level of Estonian: A2–B1.
Upcoming sessions take place on Wednesdays from 17:00 to 19:00. Please arrive by 16:45.
