Propaganda and history: can you divide the two?

16.04.26 - 17.00

Liivalaia Library (Liivalaia 40, Tallinn)

31.03.2026

Although it may seem that propaganda is a relatively recently emerged phenomenon, it is far from true. People have often struggled to distinguish between the facts and misinformation. Nowadays, with AI, social media and enormously fast spread of information, it is probably harder than ever before. However, some of the patterns remain the same. During the lecture we will explore the main traits of propaganda through a historic lense and find out what features of propaganda have remained unchanged throughout the centuries.
