Why have certain musical phenomena been considered acceptable in some periods, while others were viewed as dangerous or ideologically alien?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Middle Ages, certain musical intervals were regarded as incompatible with harmony and were even associated with the devil. During the Soviet era, avant-garde music was criticized as formalist, anti-people, and ideologically foreign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Topics of discussion:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How powerful a tool of propaganda music can be;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How music has shaped worldviews throughout the centuries;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Why propaganda is especially effective where knowledge is lacking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Petr Sushkov<\/strong>, journalist at Radio 4 and author and host of cultural programmes, is a graduate of the Music Department of the Viljandi Culture Academy and holds a Master\u2019s degree in Jazz and Improvisational Music from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will be held in <strong>Russian<\/strong>. <br>Admission is free, but <a href=\"https:\/\/fienta.com\/et\/petr-suskovi-loeng-kultuur-voi-propaganda-kuidas-muusika-kujundab-maailmavaadet\">registration <\/a>is required.
